Don’t forget Mother’s Day. Here are some options for a festive meal around Bradenton

We know that you didn’t forget about Mother’s Day because of the whole pandemic thing.

But just in case you need a hand planning a celebration, we’ve got you covered with some last-minute meal ideas.

Whether you feel ready to venture back out to dine at an open restaurant or you’d rather play it safe at home, local eateries have something to offer everyone this Mother’s Day.

Here are some options for a festive holiday meal for mom around Bradenton and Manatee County.

Bonefish Grill: The Bonefish Grill Mother’s Day to-go meal comes complete with grilled mahi mahi and jumbo shrimp, a choice of house or Caesar salad, family-style sides of garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies, fresh bread with pesto and a dessert duo of cheesecake slices and cookies. The meal is priced at $49.90 and feeds up to five people. Other meal bundles are also available.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill: Carrabba’s locations offer a variety of family meals to-go ranging in price from $34.99 to $54.99. The Bradenton location has also reopened for dine-in service.

C’est La Vie University Park: C’est La Vie University Park is offering a four-course Mother’s Day dinner for $49. To-go, delivery and limited dine-seating are available.

Cody’s Original Roadhouse: Cody’s is offering Mother’s Day specials to-go and in-restaurant this weekend. Specials include sirloin steak, crab cake and shrimp dishes and are priced at $21.98; the meals come with a side, salad, rolls and a free slice of cherry cheesecake.

The Fresh Market: The Fresh Market is offering Mother’s Day to-go meals. A brunch for four is priced at $39.99 and includes a choice of quiche (Lorraine, broccoli cheddar or spinach tomato), two pounds of applewood smoked bacon, a fruit bowl, blueberry muffins and a bouquet of seasonal flowers.

A dinner for two is priced at $49.99 and includes a choice of filet mignon or Chilean sea bass, mascarpone whipped potatoes with rosemary, asparagus tips, chocolate-dipped strawberries and a bouquet of seasonal flowers.

Both meals require some preparation; cooking instructions will be provided.

Mattison’s: Mattison’s restaurants are reopened for dine-in seating and will offer a chef-created menu of Mother’s Day specials this Sunday. Specials at the Bradenton location range from $26 to $42 and include surf and turf, a pan-seared Alaskan halibut dish and New Zealand baby lamp chops. All moms will also receive a spa gift card. To-go orders and curbside pickup are also available.

Metro Diner: Metro Diner locations will offer ready-to-heat Mother’s Day meals that serve up to four. Options are: a meat lovers or vegetarian casserole meal ($39), a roasted turkey plate meal ($44) or a pot roast plate with “all the fixings” ($44). Beer, wine and mimosa kits that include orange juice and champagne can also be added on to your order. In addition to the holiday to-go meals and delivery of regular menu items, Metro Diner locations have also reopened for dine-in service.

Outback Steakhouse: Outback Steakhouse locations will offer special Mother’s Day menu options all weekend for dine-in (where available) and takeout. Mom’s can pick from a a plate of filet mignon and steamed lobster tail or a prime rib and crab cake dish; both options come with two sides. The items will be offered through May 12.

Pier 22 Restaurant and GROVE Restaurant: Sister restaurants Pier 22 in Bradenton and GROVE in Lakewood Ranch are offering Mother’s Day family meals and dishes for pickup. A prime rib dinner is priced at $120, serves six to eight people, and comes with prime rib, au jus and horseradish sauce, roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables, a large salad, rolls and a chocolate cream pie.

Individual holiday dishes including crab-stuffed salmon and lobster tails are also available, as well as regular menu items.

Sage Biscuit Cafe: Favorite Bradenton brunch spot the Sage Biscuit Cafe is once again open for dine-in service, as well as takeout. Full menus of breakfast favorites, tasty lunches, wine and mimosas should be enough to make any mom happy.
