From the outside, the new R Burgers N’ Wings restaurant looks like a typical burgers and wings place, but the menu offers much more.
Namely, fried rice, fish and shrimp, Philly cheese steak, fried chicken, gyro wraps and salads.
“We have a little bit of everything,” said Kevin Li, owner of the new business, located at 4266 53rd Ave. E. in a shopping center anchored by Publix.
Li, a resident of Lakewood Ranch, has several other eateries, including the Happy Dragon Chinese restaurant at 11161 State Road 70, Lakewood Ranch; Go Burger N Wings in Ocoee; and an R Burgers N’ Wings in Muskegon, Mich.
“I have been in the restaurant business for 25 years,” he said.
Wayne Batten was a first-time diner at R Burgers N’ Wings on Tuesday, and chose one of the certified Angus beef hamburgers.
“It’s good, I like it,” he said after taking his first bite, adding, “the fries are piping hot.”
Burgers start at $5.49, and for $2 more, customers can have a combo with fries and a drink.
“We use fresh Angus beef, never frozen. It tastes a lot better,” Li said.
The burger menu also includes cheeseburgers for $5.99, a bacon cheeseburger for $6.99, a bacon and jalapeno burger for $7.49, a shrimp and beef burger for $7.99 and a bacon and onion ring burger for $7.99.
Wings are available in a host of flavors and are served traditional or boneless, starting at $6.49 for a six-piece order and $8.49 for a 10-piece order.
Want your wings with fries or vegetable fried rice? They are on the menu, too.
On the sandwich menu, the Philly cheese steak, chicken Philly, grilled chicken, and more are all listed at $6.49.
The eclectic menu of sides include sweet mini doughnuts, crab Rangoon, okra, cheese sticks, pork potstickers, and more.
R Burgers N’ Wings has seating for 32 and is open 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday Thursday, 11 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon - 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Online ordering is available.
