Beach'N Food Truck and Music Festival is set for Saturday

The DeSoto Seafood Festival isn't the only outdoor event featuring lots of food and live music in Manatee County this weekend.

A festival called the Beach'N Food Truck and Music Festival makes its debut Saturday on Anna Maria Island's Coquina Beach.

The name of the event gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect. It leaves out a couple of things, though, including arts and crafts and a car show with more than 100 classic, vintage, exotic and muscle cars.

For the young 'uns, there's a Kids Zone with games, bounce houses and activities. For the grown ups, there's beer, wine, Margaritas and rum coolers.

It's all free, except for the food and beverages.

The live music comes from the Billy Rice Band (1-2:30 p.m.), Whiskey Blind (3-5 p.m.) soulRcoaster (5:30-7:30 p.m.) and the Karen & Jimmy Band (8-10 p.m.). Mike Sales will emcee all day.

Parking is available at Coquina Public Beach. Alternate parking at any public parking on the island. Alternate parking is at Manatee Beach (4000 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach), Hancock Bank (5324 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach) and CrossPointe Fellowship Church, 8605 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach. There's a free trolley to Coquina Beach from all three of those locations

Details: 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. April 2, Coquina Beach, Bradenton Beach. Admission: Free. Information: 941-778-1541, amichamber.org.
