Annual Robinson Preserve 5K and 10K Twilight Run: Robinson Preserve, 1704 99th St. N.W., Bradenton

The eighth annual Robinson Preserve 5K Twilight Run will begin 6:30 p.m. March 25. There will be a 5K and 10K run, a one-mile pet friendly walk, and Kid's Dashes at 5:30 p.m. The chip-timed race follows a course over shell trails and eight bridges winding through mangroves and past jumping fish, showcasing vistas of Tampa Bay then the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and finishing at the restored Valentine House for an after party at 7 p.m. Registration: $10-$35. Hernando De Soto Heritage Festival Children's Parade and Party: Sutton and Lamb Parks, 700 10th Ave., Palmetto

The 2016 Hernando De Soto Heritage Festival kicks off with the Suncoast Credit Union De Soto Children's Parade at 10 a.m. March 25 starting at the fairgrounds and ends at Sutton Park where there will be a Party in The Park featuring fire trucks, police cars, horses, Marty from the Pittsburgh Pireates and DJ Kitty from the Tampa Bay Rays, and loads of activities for children, including games. Jungle Trails & Bunny Tails: Sarasota Jungle Gardens, 3701 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota

The Easter-themed event is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 25. It features an egg hunt (guests bring their own baskets), a petting zoo and many other fun, family friendly events. Photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting and pony rides will be available for purchase and a food tent will feature hamburgers, hot dogs and other items for sale. For this event, admission is free for children age 3 and younger; $6.50 for children 4-16, $17.99 for adults and $16.99 for seniors. Tampa Theatre's newest classic movie series "Rewind," will feature movies that were popular and successful and a lot of them were underappreciated but you can't stop watching them, the last one in the series is "Repo Man," 10 p.m. March 25. "Eggstravaganza": Lakewood Ranch Community Activities Club, Adventure Park, Adventure Place at S.R. 70 E., Lakewood Ranch

Bring your baskets and children to the Lakewood Ranch Community Activities Club's "Eggstravaganza" 9:30-11:30 a.m. March 26, featuring an Easter egg hunt with over 12,000 eggs, prize drawings, a live petting zoo, the Easter Bunny, face painting, balloon art, music, pony rides and much more. The egg hunt will be divided in age groups of 2 to 13-year-olds and will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m. The Manatee Fire and Rescue team will be present with their red fire truck. Keeton's Office and Art Supply will host its third annual Can Jam, a graffiti art battle, 3-6 p.m. April 9. Three walls of their warehouse are currently covered with a Star Wars themed mural and the plan is to cover the mural with a fresh coat of white paint by the end of this month to give a blank canvas for the community to spray paint. Bunker Hill Vineyard will host "Spirit and Orb Walks" 6:30 p.m. April 16. Guests must arrive by 6 p.m. for a 30-minute indoctrination and discussion of the night's walk and activities. Guests are asked to bring cameras with a night flash, EVP recorders, EMF recorders, digital temperature recorders, and extra batteries. The "Spirit & Orb Walks" will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m. Good, closed toes, walking shoes, long pants and a jacket are encouraged.
