The 112th Florida State Fair themed "So Much More to Explore," will be now through Feb. 15 featuring seemingly endless activities to discover and enjoy, including rides, food, exhibits, entertainment, animals, attractions and shopping. Performing artists include Beatlemania Live, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Colt Ford, Robert Cray, Tenth Avenue North, Matt's Family Jam, Aranda, Lazy Bonez, Elvis Extravaganza, Dennis Lee and many more. Suncoast Quilt Expo: Bradenton Area Convention Center, One Haben Blvd., Palmetto
The Manatee Patchworkers Quilt Guild will be hosting their biennial Suncoast Quilt Expo 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 12 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 13. The expo's theme "A Stitch in Time," celebrates the time honored tradition of quiltmaking. The event will feature over 180 quilts, a silent auction, challenge quilts, a basket promenade, 25 quilt related vendors and an opportunity to have a quilt designed and made by guild members.
