Brad Paisley brings his 'Crushin' It' tour to Tampa

A lot of major concert tours either begin or end in Florida, simply because of geography. That often makes for great shows, because bands are either fresh and excited about the tour or they've fine-tuned their performances over the weeks and months of the tour.

That could bode well for Bradenton-area fans of Brad Paisley. His "Crushin' It" tour started way back in May, and the Friday show at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre will be the penultimate tour stop. He'll perform in West Palm beach on Saturday and then he gets to go home. (Paisley took a one-night break from the tour to open for the Rolling Stones in Nashville.)

The tour sounds pretty spectacular, with a working bar on stage that some lucky audience members -- mostly winners of radio-station contests -- get to sit at and enjoy a beer while they watch part of the show.

Joining the country superstar on the tour are Mickey Guyton, who's had a couple of moderate hits including "Better Than You Left Me," and Justin Moore, whose last two albums have hit No. 1 on the country charts.

Paisley is touring behind his most recent album, "Moonshine in the Trunk," which came out last year and debuted at No. 1 on the country charts in the United States and England. The tour is named after the album's opening track, which was the third hit single from the album.

Details: 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2, MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, 4802 U.S. 301, Tampa. Tickets: $33.25-$7625. Information: 813-740-2446, livenation.com.
