The show's called "Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic," which kind of implies that Disney on Ice has been around for 100 years. Not even close. Disney ice shows have actually been around only since 1979, and the Disney on Ice name came into being in 1997.

But the Disney franchise has, of course, been around for much longer, and apparently the title is meant to indicate that the show's a retrospective of the legendary company's classics.

It's coming to Amalie Arena in Tampa for seven performances, starting Thursday evening and running through Sunday.

The emphasis seems to be on more recent Disney offerings, though. The publicity material lists only "Toy Story," "Finding Nemo," "The Lion King," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin" as being among the shows represented. Accounts from earlier shows indicate there's a heavy emphasis on "Frozen," but that a few older Disney classics, including "Pinocchio" and "Snow White," are also included.

The show also features more than 30 favorite Disney songs, including "Let It Go," "You've Got a Friend in Me," and "Hakuna Matata," plus apperances by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy.

Details: May 12-15, Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa. Show times: 7 p.m. Thursday-Friday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: $15-$125. Information: 813-301-2500, amaliearena.com.
