The Jazz Club of Sarasota and the Baltimore Orioles are teaming up for the first time to bring a live, big-band jazz concert to Ed Smith Stadium.

The concert, which is set for 7-9 p.m. Saturday is titled "The Music of Sinatra and Friends." Among the featured musicians are the Sarasota Jazz Project, a 17-piece big band under the direction of co-founder and tenor sax player George McLain, and Miami-based vocalist Lisanne Lyons.

They'll perform favorites from the career of Frank Sinatra and others of his era, covering music from World War II through the end of the 20th century. Among the songs on tap are "All Or Nothing At All," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "In the Mood," "West Side Story Jazz Suite" and "Come Fly With Me."

The program will also include a special "Armed Forces Salute" that will pay tribute to veterans and active military members.

It all takes place in the stadium's Left Field Pavilion, where fans can grab ball park food and dance under the stars.

The concert is part of the Orioles "Art in the Ballpark" series, which offers a variety of family-friendly arts and entertainment events for the public.

Details: 7 p.m. April 9, Ed Smith Stadium, 2700 12th St., Sarasota. Tickets: $20-$30. Information: 941-893-6300, jazzclubsarasota.org.
