In the past few years, the party has been held at both Burns Court Cinemas and Lakewood Ranch Cinemas. But while the Burns Court party was always popular, the one in Lakewood Ranch struggled to draw a crowd. Only a dozen tickets were sold for Lakewood Ranch this year, so that evenT was canceled.
The Burns Court even is selling briskly, but there should still be tickets available at the door and online.
Details: 7 p.m. Feb. 28, Burns Court Cinemas, 506 Burns Lane, Sarasota. Tickets: $25. Information: 941-955-3456, filmsociety.org.
