Broadway and TV star Kristin Chenoweth performs in Sarasota

Kristin Chenoweth has done pretty much everything that performer can do, from starring roles in hit Broadway musicals ("Wicked," "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," "On the Twentieth Century"), to high-profile TV roles ("The West Wing" and "Glee," among others) to performances in surprisingly awful movies (she's been nominated for Golden Raspberry Awards for "RV" and "Deck the Halls"). She's done a lot of voice-over work for animated films and TV shows and she's been a frequent guest on radio's "Prairie Home Companion." She won a Tony Award for "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and an Emmy for "Pushing Daisies"

Saturday evening, Chenoweth will be in Sarasota for a show at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.

It's essentially a concert, with the diminutive but hugely talented Chenoweth offering songs from some of her best-known musicals (including "Glee") and other classic songs from Broadway, Hollywood and Tin Pan Alley.

Chenoweth's show is sold out, but there's always a chance that tickets will be released close to the show date, so don't give up hope.
