'Dancing With the Stars' returns to Sarasota
It's been one of the biggest hits on network TV for the past decade, and one of the most popular touring shows across the country for almost as long.
On Friday, the latest edition of the "Dancing With the Stars" national tour is stopping at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota.
They're calling the show "Dancing with the Stars: Live! -- Dance All Night." It features professional dancers Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Emma Slater, Alan Bersten, Brittany Cherry and Jenna Johnson.
According to what the people from the tour are saying, it's a lively 90-minute show that features some of the most memorable numbers from the "Dancing with the Stars" TV show, plus some choreography that hasn't been seen on the show.
But if you don't have tickets to the Van Wezel show, you might be out of luck. Earlier this week, the Van Wezel website indicated that the show was sold out. Sometimes tickets become available close to the show date, so it's still worth checking with the box office even.
Details: 8 p.m. Jan. 29, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Tickets: $35-$100. Information: 941-953-3368, vanwezel.org.
