Aretha Franklin sets Sarasota concert

Aretha Franklin's website lists only three upcoming concert dates. One of them is in Sarasota.

The Queen of Soul is scheduled to perform at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall at 8 p.m. March 29.

Franklin could fill several concerts with her hits -- "Respect," "I Say A Little Prayer," "Chain of Fools," "Think" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" among them -- but at the Sarasota show she'll also be performing songs from her latest album, "Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics." The album features her take on such songs as "Teach Me Tonight," "At Last" and "Nothing Compares 2 U."
