'Shakespeare at the Crosley' opens Tuesday in Bradenton
If you're Shakespeare-curious, or maybe even a bit Shakespeare-phobic, the upcoming presentation at the Powel Crosley Estate in Bradenton ought to offer an ideal way to get to know the Bard of Avon's work.
"Shakespeare at the Crosley 2016" opens Tuesday and runs through the end of the months. The actors of the Powel Crosley Estate Theatre will offer an evening that's kind of a Shakespeare's greatest hits presentation. They'll perform excerpts from some of the greatest plays by the greatest playwright, including the lively comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" and the tragic dramas "Hamlet" and "King Lear." They'll also read several of Shakespeare's sonnets.
Besides some of the most beautiful words ever written, "Shakespeare at the Crosley "also offers chance to experience the elegant surroundings of the Manatee County landmark, and to see Shakespeare for an affordable price, with tickets as low as $15.
