Rihanna to perform in Tampa March 13
Grammy Award-winner and multi-platinum selling singer Rihanna has scheduled a concert for Tampa's Amalie Arena.
On Tuesday, Rihanna announced plans for a 40-city Anti World Tour that starts in California Feb. 26. The tour stops in Tampa on March 13.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 3. They'll start at a reasonable $27.25 plus service charge.
Opening the shows on the tour is Travis Scott, a young rapper whose work has drawn favorable comparisons to Kanye West and Kid Cudi. (Scott himself has said that he's also influenced by artists as diverse as Bon Iver and Bjork.)
As for Rihanna, the Barbadian singer has sold 54 million albums and 210 million digital tracks worldwide, making her the top-selling digital artist of all time. She's released seven albums in seven years, charted 13 No. 1 singles and won eight Grammy Awards.
