Bradenton's Mixon Fruit Farms celebrates harvest time
One of Bradenton's favorite festivals returns this weekend, with two full days of family entertainment, activities and lots of food.
The Mixon Harvest Festival is set for Saturday and Sunday at Mixon Fruit Farms. Among the highlights are circus acts, an antique car show, local school bands and a new kids zone with circus-themed games and lots of prizes. More than 70 artists, crafts people and vendors will be on hand offering their creations.
Here's the entertainment lineup for Saturday: 9 a.m.: Jaszewska School of Performing Arts; 10 a.m.: Manatee School of the Arts; 10:30 a.m.: Bella Ballroom Dance; 11 a.m.: Southeast Chamber Orchestra; 11:30 a.m.: Nerveless Nocks Thrill Show; Noon: Harmony B; 12:30 p.m.: Starfire Dancers; 1:30 p.m.: Hatley band, 3 p.m.: Nerveless Nocks Thrill Show; and 3:30 p.m.: Aloha Stars.
Sunday's entertainment lineup is: 9 a.m.: Southeast String Quartet; 9:30 a.m.: Jaszewska School of Performing Arts; 10:30 a.m.: Moriah Ruth, 11:30 a.m.: Nerveless Nocks Thrill Show; Noon: Harmony B; 12:30 p.m.: Salute to America, 1:30 p.m.: Mike Sales; 2 p.m.: Can't Turn Left Band, 3 p.m.: Nerveless Knocks Thrill Show and 3:30 p.m.: Can't Turn Left Band.
