Ballroom dance stars come to Van Wezel

If you love ballroom dance and TV talent shows, the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall has the perfect show for you this weekend.

"Ballroom With a Twist" brings together professional dancers whom you've been watching for years on "Dancing With the Stars," "So You Think You Can Dance" and "American Idol." They'll serve up an energetic show that features an array of ballroom dance styles including samba, waltz, foxtrot, quickstep and jive.

The cast includes Tony Dovolani, Cheryl Burke and Anna Trebunskaya, all from "Dancing With the Stars"; Lacey Schwimmer and Dmitry Chaplin from "So You Think You Can Dance."

All the cast members have serious dance credentials beyond their work with the TV shows. Dovolani, for example, has won numerous international dance championships and Schwimmer has choreographed for such stars as Christina Aguilera, Nikki Minaj and Reba McEntire.
