With live shows set to resume at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in January, the venue has announced some changes to the upcoming season.

Two shows have been rescheduled for 2022, and another show has been canceled. The following shows are affected:

  • The Choir of Man’s Sarasota debut performance has been rescheduled for Jan. 30, 2022.
  • Renée Fleming’s performance on January 13, 2021 has been rescheduled to January 5, 2022.
  • The Russian National Ballet’s performance of Swan Lake on March 22, 2021 has been canceled.

Patrons who plan on attending the rescheduled performances should hold onto their tickets, according to a press release from the venue. Those who do not plan on attending the rescheduled shows can donate their tickets to support Van Wezel or receive a refund.

Tickets are on sale now for a wide array of live shows beginning in the new year. They include classical-influenced, quartet sensation Il Divo, “Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” musical and the 50th anniversary tour of folk rockers America.

Through the end of 2020, Van Wezel is offering several virtual experiences that theatergoers can enjoy from the comfort of home.
