Pitbull makes Florida look good in ‘Sexy Beaches’ video

Pitbull’s latest video is a love letter to his favorite town — his hometown of Miami.

Sexy Beaches — from his 2014 album Globalization and featuring Chloe Angelides— includes scenes from various Florida beaches and pictures of iconic hotels like the Fontainebleau. The song includes lyrics like, “I want to go somewhere exciting....Meet a sexy stranger in the lobby. I want to jump into the deep end... Treat every day like a vacation.”

Notice the hashtag #LOVEFL written in the sand? Makes sense. The rapper is a spokesman for Florida’s tourism marketing agency, Visit Florida. What Mr. 305 is getting paid is anyone’s guess.

“We are not permitted to disclose certain aspects of our agreement,” Visit Florida spokeswoman Kathy Torian told the AP.

The, um, sexy video can be seen on the music star’s Vevo channel and YouTube.

Producer Peter Miller had this to say about the on-set experience:

“It was such an honor to meet and work with Pitbull and his entire team. He was extremely professional and down to earth and the same goes to his team of dancers, called the Most Bad Ones. Every take was on point, making it difficult to edit…because it was all so good! Pitbull is the man! Close to 2 million views in five days. That’s very impressive; to have played a tiny role in the making of this video is very exciting.”

On Friday, Mr. Worldwide, 35, was in Los Angeles to accept the 2,584th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Pit’s pals, motivational speaker Tony Robbins and hip hop legend Luther Campbell, were at the ceremony, organized by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

The Magic City’s favorite son choked up upon accepting the honor.
