Bradenton singer-songwriter Matt Walden is back home from his first tour, which took him around the South and to venues as far away as Ohio, Maryland and New York City.

On Saturday, local fans — at least the young ones — will get a chance to welcome Walden home. He’ll headline the first installment of “Saturday Night Rocks,” a monthly series of free concerts for teenagers.

Each month, the series will feature musician from the Del Couch Music Education Foundation. Walden and “American Idol” finalist Sam Woolf are both foundation alumni.

Walden’s first album, “Walden,” debuted on iTunes on May 20 and reached No. 25 on the singer-songwriter chart. Opening this weekend’s concert are Sarasota-based alternative rock band Alone Together and 2015 Rock for a Cause winner Paige Merriman.

The concerts will be held on the last Saturday of every month from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Bradenton Woman’s Club on Manatee Avenue West. They’re open to teenagers age 14 and up.

The foundation is partnering with Drug-Free Manatee to organize the concert series.
