If your goal is to make a million dollars, read "5 Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me about Life and Wealth" by Richard Paul Evans and "The Automatic Millionaire" or "El Millonario Automático" in Spanish and regular print formats by David Bach. Bach is also the author of "Debt Free for Life: The Finish Rich Plan For Financial Freedom," in print, audio and e-book versions.
Are you more interested in saving money and being debt free? Dave Ramsey has written several books on managing your money, building financial and family peace, and debt-free living. These include "More Than Enough: The Ten Keys To Changing Your Financial Destiny" and "Dave Ramsey's Complete Guide to Money: The Handbook Of Financial Peace" plus his videos, "Financial Peace University" and "Maxed Out."
It is never too early to teach children money skills and "Smart Money, Smart Kids: Raising The Next Generation To Win With Money" by Dave Ramsey; "Raising Money Smart Kids: What They Need To Know About Money And How To Tell Them," by Janet Bodnar and "Capitate Your Kids: Teaching Your Teens Financial Independence" by John E. Library card holders may access financial information at home by clicking the "Research & Learning" link on the Library's website (www.mymanatee.org/library), clicking on "Databases" and then clicking on the "Business & Investing" databases. These databases can also be accessed in any county library without a card.
The popular "Value Line Online" is a diverse financial database that evaluates stocks and mutual funds. Our subscription includes the Value Line Investment Survey and the Small & Mid-Cap Survey.
The "Morningstar Investment Research Center" is a financial database that provides independent ratings of mutual funds. Both databases provide financial news.
"The Business Collection" covers all business disciplines while the "Small Business Collection" provides access to over 600 academic journals and magazines perfect for both business students and entrepreneurs.
