Bradenton filmmaker helps Suncoast students make cinema magic

BRADENTON -- Forty students from two classes at Suncoast Technical College are teaming with Bradenton filmmakers Trishul Thejasvi and Thomas Nudi of Orensis Films to produce five scripts over the next several weeks.

Thejasvi and Nudi will act as executive producers for four films: Viviana Lopez's family drama "Overcooked," Cameron Cruce's sci-fi comedy "The Best Day Ever," Chad Martin's dark, modern fairy tale "Porcelain Doll," and Ally William's existential dramedy "Jane Don't." In addition, Thejasvi will direct and Nudi will produce Taylor Teague's romantic dramedy, "Gossip."

Thejasvi and Nudi have been leading a weekly film production workshop for Robert Gray's Digital Video Production program at Suncoast Technical College, 4748 S. Beneva Road, Sarasota.

Raised in Bradenton, Thomas Nudi returned a year ago to his hometown from Los Angeles to shoot his feature film, "Monty Comes Back," with Orensis Films.

"Monty Comes Back was my love letter to this area," he said.

The films are in production.
