Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Reunite for Yet Another Disney Project
Deadpool, you remember Wolverine...
The two superheroes led a Marvel film that went to make over a billion dollars - and now, they're back with yet another Disney project.
Ryan Reynolds will lead a docuseries about the SailGP team he co-owns with co-star Hugh Jackman, Deadline reports.
The docuseries will see Australia's fastest sailors travel the world to face elite rivals while onboarding their world-famous owners, led on the water by decorated sailor Tom Slingsby, Deadline also noted on Friday, May 29.
"This is our first collaboration since Deadpool & Wolverine and we once again anticipate action, comedy, heart but with a lot more water. And (fingers crossed) pirates," said Jackman, 57, and Reynolds, 49, in a statement, per Deadline. "We hope there's pirates in SailGP."
If Reynolds' name already sounds familiar in the docuseries space, that's because of his other Disney project Welcome to Wrexham, which follows his co-owned soccer team Wrexham in Wales alongside fellow executive producer Rob Mac - who will also serve as EP of the untitled sailing docuseries through his More Better Productions banner.
The new docuseries will be available exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S., according to Deadline.
Reynolds, meanwhile, made entirely different headlines earlier this month after the upstate New York property he owns with Blake Lively was hit with more than $2.1 million in unpaid contractor debt, according to The Daily Mail. Westchester County filings show five separate contractors and subcontractors filed mechanic's liens against the property in April 2026. According to official records reviewed by the publication, the outstanding claims total exactly $2,108,856.63.
The Daily Mail notes these property liens arrive immediately following a high-profile legal battle between Lively, 38, and her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni. With the outlet claiming: "According to reports, no money changed hands in the settlement despite months of explosive allegations, leaked messages and legal filings."
