Paul McCartney's New Solo Album Is Worth the Wait - Review
Paul McCartney is back with his first solo album in five years, and it’s packed with rock goodness. The release, called “The Boys of Dungeon Lane,” features a collection of tracks that play as very personal to the Beatles legend.
“‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’ is not only the first new solo album from Paul McCartney in over five years; it is a revealing collection of never-before shared stories, personal memories and some newly inspired love songs, from one of the most culturally significant figures of our time,” a press statement says of the release.
It adds, “Turning the lens inward, Paul revisits the formative years that shaped both his life, and the very foundations of modern popular culture. The album is arguably his most personal and introspective to date, untold stories that transport the listener back to where it all began.”

Album Review - Paul McCartney, ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’
Listening to this set, what stands out is really that personal nature of the songs. On it, McCartney sounds candid, honest and introspective, writing about growing up in Liverpool, his family and his early moments with George Harrison and John Lennon before the Beatles took off.
This record plays more like an autobiography than a record, and that’s what makes it such a fascinating listen from front to back. It’s a must-listen for anyone who has followed McCartney’s musical journey over the decades.
