Pete Davidson Steps Out With Almost Bare Arms After Tattoo Removal

For most of his celebrity life, comedian, actor, and writer Pete Davidson has been best known for his very unique and very tattooed look. Well, the new dad (since December) has been making some changes in that regard. He showed off the progress this week at CinemaCon 2026.

Davidson, who at one point had 200 tattoos, is working at getting them removed.

He talked to Variety about his tattoo removal in 2025: "I started during COVID in 2020, and it's gonna take me another 10 years. My arms are pretty much gone, and my hands and neck are gone. But I still have to do my torso and back," he explained about the removal progress. "I used to be a drug addict and I was a sad person, and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up. And I don't think there's anything wrong with tattoos, but mine, when I look at them, I remember a sad person that was very unsure. So I'm just removing them and starting fresh, because that's what I think works best for me and for my brain."

The process is painful, he says, and it's not cheap either: "I've already spent like $200K and I'm like 30% done."
