April 18 (UPI) -- Pop music legend Madonna has announced plans to release a new album this summer.

"Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II - July 3 2026," the singer posted on Instagram this week.

Her last album was 2019's Madame X.

The news was met with celebratory comments from several other artists.

"Seated Mother," wrote music star Katy Perry.

"I'm so ready," said Ozark and Weapons alum Julia Garner.

"Let's Dance!" Entourage actress Debi Mazar agreed.

Madonna also performed her hits "Vogue" and "Like a Prayer" with headliner Sabrina Carpenter at the Coachella music festival in California Friday.

"I have a few things I wanna get off my chest. Twenty years ago today, I performed at Coachella. I was in the dance tent, and it was the first time I performed, Confessions on the Dance Floor Part I in America," Madonna told the crowd.

"That was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later in the same boots, the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, the same Gucci jacket. So, it's like a full circle moment, very meaningful for me."
