The phenomenon of “Frozen” shows no signs of waning.

The 2013 film is one of the most popular of all time and the most popular animated film ever, and it’s widely regarded as the best film of the “Disney Renaissance” era (which basically means the past couple decades). A sequel is in the works, as is a Broadway musical.

Three years ago, Disney on Ice, which is owned by Palmetto-based Feld Entertainment, announced that it would adapt “Frozen” into an ice show, which was logical and probably inevitable. The show premiered a year later, and now it is returning to Amalie Arena in Tampa.

“Frozen” is based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale “The Snow Queen,” and the Disney on Ice version reprises the film’s story. It featured Elsa and Anna and the other characters that have become so beloved the past four years.

Other favorite Disney characters are scheduled to make appearances in the show, which includes “Let It Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Fixer Upper” as well as other songs from the film.

Details: Sept. 29-Oct 1, Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa. 7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday. $18-$84. 813-301-2500, amaliearena.com.
