‘Real Housewives’-style reality show to film on Trump turf in Palm Beach
Former Governor Charlie Crist’s soon-to-be-ex-wife has been tapped to star in a new reality TV show set to take place in Palm Beach, Gossip Extra has learned.
And with President Donald Trump’s weekend presence expected at Mar-a-Lago starting at Thanksgiving, the “Real Housewives”-style show will also try to capitalize on the rising popularity of the tony town.
We’re told producers are still looking for a network to broadcast the series, but details have been leaking.
For one thing, Carole Crist, the New York socialite who married now-U.S. Congressman Charlie Crist in 2008 but filed for divorce in February, has already agreed to be on, according to a source close to the producers.
The former first lady of Florida, 47, didn’t respond to a text message and voice mail requesting comment. A rep for her said he’s not aware of the production of a show that involves Carole.
The show hopes to capture the drama of Carole’s divorce, which is still pending in Pinellas County.
According to the source, former “Real Housewives of New York City” star Jill Zarin is to be a part of the cast.
And producer Kyle Owens, who is telling locals he works for Lionsgate Television but isn’t returning calls and texts to his cellphone, is said to be wooing former Miami Dolphins cheerleader Lynn Aronberg for a third spot.
Aronberg, 37, made national news last month when she blamed Trump’s election for her divorce from Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg, a Democrat and former state senator.
She declined comment but reiterated that she hired a talent agent to shop her to reality TV companies.
“There’s definitely going to be a political angle to the series,” the source said, “and they’ll definitely try to get into Mar-a-Lago for some scenes.”
