You may be looking forward to your kids going back to school, but they’re probably not as jazzed about it as you are.

Sarasota Jungle Gardens has a great way for you to treat your kids to a really fun day. It won’t even cost you anything (or at least it won’t cost you anything extra for the kids) but you don’t have to tell them that. You can make it seem as though you’re shelling out your hard-earned bucks to give them a memorable day before they face nine months of academic drudgery.

Here’s the deal: On Saturday and Sunday, if you buy one adult admission to Sarasota Jungle Gardens, you can take up to three kids (under age 17) for free.

That means that if you bring three kids, you’re paying less than $5 per person. Admission for kids is normally $12.99, so the savings are substantial.

It’s called a “Back to School Bash,” but there’s nothing extra going on in the park. It’s all about the free admission for kids. You can feed flamingos, hold alligators, watch interactive animal shows and explore acres of jungle, right there in the heart of Sarasota, and it won’t cost you much.

Details: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 5-6, Sarasota Jungle Gardens, 3701 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota. $17.99 adults, $16.99 seniors, free for up to three children with each adult. 941-355-5305, sarasotajunglegardens.com.
