Follow along Sunday starting at 9 p.m. as I watch the premiere of “Claws,” the new TNT show about a Palmetto nail salon, with Christina Pugh, the owner of a real-life Palmetto salon called the Nail Nook.
“Claws” is a comedy-drama that revolves around a group of women who work in a fictional salon called Nail Artisans of Manatee County. The salon launders money for a shady but legal pain clinic, which leads to involvement with some hard-core criminals. Although the show is set in Palmetto and the surrounding area, it is filmed mostly in Louisiana
TNT apparently expects “Claws” to be a hit. Even before the show officially premiered, TNT had filed paperwork in Louisiana film a second season.
