New prices, kiosks for county’s parking garage in downtown Bradenton. Here are the details

The new year will bring changing prices and payment options to the county parking garage in downtown Bradenton.

The Manatee County Public Parking Garage, 414 10th St. W., is situated next to the former pet adoption center, and across the street from the county property appraiser.

Starting on Jan. 13, instead of paying 25 cents per half hour of parking, residents will pay a minimum of $1 for two hours. The county will also roll out all-day parking for $4 and monthly permits for $40, according to a news release from Nick Azzara, the county spokesman.

New kiosks, located from the ground to the fourth floor, will accept both coins and credit cards, while a mobile payment application will launch in February. Previously, residents paid solely with change.

“Drivers who plan to park for longer periods of time are encouraged to park above the first floor but below the employee parking entrance gate,” the release states.

The meters will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents will have the option to prepay anytime after 7:30 a.m., prompting the meter to start running at 8 a.m.
