USF center Austin Reiter, a graduate of Lakewood Ranch High, was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft on Saturday by the Washington Redskins.
The 6-foot-3, 296-pound Reiter was a three-year starter for the Bulls, earning a reputation for being an iron man. He started 36 consecutive games and missed only one snap last season.
The Redskins selected Reiter with the 222nd overall pick, the fifth selection of the seventh and final round.
