With the World Series coming to a close Wednesday night in Los Angeles, the baseball season has come to an end. But the Bradenton Marauders have something for fans to look forward to — the start of the 2018 season.

It may be five months before the team will be back in LECOM Park, but fans can start buying their tickets now.

LECOM Park will host 70 games for the Marauders, the High-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, in the 2018 season, starting with the home opener April 7 at 6:30 p.m. The Marauders will open against the St. Lucie Mets.

The Marauders will get their 140-game season started April 5 in Port St. Lucie.

Opening night celebrations at LECOM Park will include the traditional post-game fireworks. The party continues with Bradenton’s annual Patriotic Celebration and Independence Day fireworks show on July 3, when the Marauders host the Palm Beach Cardinals at 6:30 p.m.

Once again, the Marauders will play in the South Division of the Florida State League, facing off against the Mets, Cardinals, Charlotte Stone Crabs (Tampa Bay Rays), Fort Myers Miracle (Minnesota Twins) and Jupiter Hammerheads (Miami Marlins).

Thanks to an unbalanced schedule in the league, Bradenton will also see the Clearwater Threshers (Philadelphia Phillies), Daytona Tortugas (Cincinnati Reds), Dunedin Blue Jays (Toronto Blue Jays), Florida Fire Frogs (Atlanta Braves), Lakeland Flying Tigers (Detroit Tigers), and Tampa Yankees (New York Yankees).

The Marauders closed out the 2017 season at 70-62, good enough for third in the overall standings of the Florida State League South but missing the playoffs. Bradenton has qualified for the playoffs four times in the last eight seasons and brought home the franchise’s first Florida State League championship in 2016.

Home games will start at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sundays.

However, there will be the exception of three 10:30 a.m. games at LECOM Park. The first on May 16 for Education Day followed by two Camp Day games on June 20 and July 18.

Season and group ticket packages, along with promotional tickets, such as the All-You-Can-Eat five-game ticket plans, are now available.

The All-You-Can-Eat plan is appropriately named, as an all-you-can-eat food package for five of the most highly anticipated home games and two free gifts are included. Prices for the plan start at $55 for bleacher seating.

Marauders season tickets cost $350 for all 70 regular season home games.
