The Panthers next face the Gulf Coast HEAT on the road at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Saint Stephen’s 11, Sarasota Christian 4: Mike Madigan and Jack Sauerbeck each had two RBIs to lead the Falcons (1-0) in the season opener.
Max Runde pitched four innings for the win, and Devin Guzman struck out six in a three-inning save. Calvin Sauerbeck scored three runs for Saint Stephen’s.
Southeast 9, Dixie Hollins 3: Donald White had three hits and starting pitcher Kobby Garcia threw five solid innings to lead the Seminoles (1-1).
Fred D’Ariano pitched two scoreless innings of relief for Southeast, which will host the Gulf Coast HEAT at 6 p.m. Friday.
St. Pete Lakewood 64, Southeast 38: The Seminoles saw their playoff run end in the region semifinals against the Spartans.
Lakewood had also defeated Southeast in the district final. Southeast had then defeated Imokalee 68-23 in the opening round of region play.
Braden River 2, Cardinal Mooney 1: The Pirates’ No. 1 team of Sydney Jaco and Arianna Osika defeated Anna Klemeyer and Kali Plattner 21-16, 19-21, 17-15 in the most competitive match of the day.

No. 3 Seeds: Emma DeCastro/Andrea Garcia (BR) beat Tiffany Thomas/Kara Klemeyer (CM) 21-13, 21-8.
No. 4 Seed: Faith Affolter/Hannah Reynolds (BR) beat Sylvia Liszewski /Victoria Wilson (CM) 21-12, 22-20
No. 5 Seed: Sam Pondillo/AJ Sprague (BR) beat Kylie Mader/Mallory Albritton (CM) 21-8, 18-21, 15-13.
Out-of-Door Academy 6, Fort Myers 2: Austin Brinling was 4-for-4 with a double and Nick Romagnola had two RBIs to lead the Thunder (1-1) to victory.
Hunter Bogumil was the winning pitcher for ODA, striking out four in three innings, and Max Munroe struck out two in a scoreless inning for the save. P.J. Fincher also had two hits.
ODA hosts Saint Stephen’s at 6 p.m. Monday.
