HOLE TO REMEMBER: No. 12 (the third hole of the Estuary) is a 574-yard, par-5 with bunkers right and a grove of oaks on the left. The green sits ominously close to a pond, but three well-struck shots offer a chance at birdie.

UNFORGETTABLE: Palmetto amateur Roger Sesti rolled in a 75-foot putt during grand-opening ceremonies to win a weekend trip for two to Pebble Beach in California.

INSIDE INFO: The course will become private once a targeted number of home sales have been met.
