The Bradenton Marauders fell to the Charlotte Stone Crabs 4-3 in a game shortened to six innings because of thunderstorms at Charlotte Sports Park.
It was the Marauders’ seventh consecutive defeat and fourth straight loss to the Stone Crabs.
The Marauders (41-38) tied the game in the top of the third inning after falling behind 2-0 in the first after a two-run homer by Justin Williams. The Stone Crabs retook the lead in the bottom half of the third and added another run in the fourth.
Bradenton scored a run in the sixth inning before the game was called after a nearly two-hour delay.
Elias Diaz, Chase Simpson and Connor Joe had RBIs for Bradenton.
Jordan Luplow had two triples in the game for Bradenton, and teammate and Kevin Kramer hit his 16th double.
Jonathan Brubaker fell to 0-3 on the mound, and Chris Pike improved to 3-6 with the victory.
Up next: The Marauders continue their series Tuesday with the host Stone Crabs. Yeudy Garcia (3-5, 2.17) gets the ball for Bradenton. Brent Honeywell (4-0, 1.57) takes the mound for Charlotte. First pitch is 6:35 p.m.
