District club presidents or delegates, along with elected District officers, will be voting on issues of concern to players in the Southwest Coast District on Saturday.
At such meetings, anyone present has a voice and might influence affairs. This district only meets in November, January and March. Thus, each meeting can be considered important, and all clubs should be represented. Often, half the member clubs are left unrepresented. This column urges all member club presidents to take part.
Issues that arise may include categories who can play in a given tournament, such as State Ams playing up or down, points to be earned, rules, type of tournament to be held on a given date, possibility of a District Hall of Fame, etc.
Those present can be kept informed, can be influential and might even become a leader. This writer appreciates the opportunity to participate and cherishes the fraternity available among these friends. I also hear others giving thanks for the opportunity to take part.
