New, bigger Anna Maria Island bridges won't solve traffic problem

Go on, taxpayers. Build a new bridge from 53rd Street West onto Anna Maria Island. Even better, make it three new bridges to maintain, and four-lane all of 'em. It still will not solve the problem.

It's still only a two-lane north-south road on the island and no room to make it any wider. Where are you going to park when you get there?

Where will the people who live there park?

Gridlock. Can't see the forest for the trees. Wait until we get the new development on Cortez and 75th. Oh boy!
