The over reaction and overly harsh comments by assistant state attorney Anthony Safonseca in the recent "Sex on the Beach" case is such a shocking case of over charging and over reaction that Mr. Safonseca's motives should be questioned.
While undoubtedly there was a violation of the law, surely a less harsh charge would have been appropriate.
A misdemeanor charge and a "Don't ever do something this stupid again" is certainly more appropriate than years in jail.
Surely the resources of this state can be better utilized than spending the thousands of dollars to jail these two people for an essentially victimless crime.

I know a 3-year old was in the area, but certainly would not know anything "bad" was going on unless an outlandish adult reaction caused a similar reaction in the child.
If we begin to put in prison every person who does something outrageously stupid, we had better begin building lots more prisons.
