Manatee Countysommissioners wrong to bank on major growth

Our illustrious commissioners are now wondering if all the new housing they have approved will affect our schools and roads. Really!

It will not only affect the schools and roads, it will also affect our water supply, garbage pick up and disposal, the police department, fire department, hospitals and everything else that we taxpayers fund.

All the commissioners saw were stars in their eyes as to the added tax monies that will be generated by all the new residents. No one in a position of authority anymore seems to think about any consequences for the rules and laws they impose, unless, of course, we either hire a consultant, or have a study or a committee to really see what impact they have now caused. I think the general public could do a better job.
