Jesus is alive in Bradenton.
What a blessing and privilege for me to reside in Bradenton and be able to attend the many spiritual programs.
On Dec. 7, the Bay Chorale conductor, Timothy O'Connor, and the Manatee Concert Band under direction of Randy Gilmore presented a great performance of a "Christmas Festival" at the New College of Florida. What a joy.
On Dec. 13, the Manatee Concert Band presented "Holiday Cabaret," with Randy Gilmore directing at St. Joseph Parish. What a great time with music to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus, by so many dedicated people. Thank you.
The St. Joseph Music Makers presented "Christmas in Cambridge," performed beautifully with a professional orchestra and a 95-voices choir and a special appearance of the St. Joseph Youth Choir on Dec. 14. The entire program was beautifully done under the leadership of Timothy O'Connor at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
On Dec. 17, the Tabernacle Church had a great "Sing Along" by the worshippers singing praises to our King. Great time!
On Dec. 21, Emmanuel United Methodist Church presented the church's "T.A.G." (Talk About God). This Christmas program was a puppet show singing under Paula McKinney's leadership. Very touching performance.
What a beautiful way to end the year 2014 with the wondrous story of God, who gave the greatest gift ever presented to mankind, a free gift, the birth of our Savior, Jesus.
"There was no room in the inn." Is that true with our hearts today? "Knock and the door will open."
