The laws in my country say that I am entitled to a peaceful, quiet existence. Does that mean that others have the right to violate my peaceful, quiet existence by their right of freedom of speech as they painfully "boom" box my ears with vibrations from their cars and trucks?
Why not pass a law making them keep their windows closed as they boom their brains and ears out inside their vehicles? Then those people still retain their freedom of free speech without violating mine!
What about the rolling thunder on our streets that seems most pickup trucks and small cars spew from their illegal, extra-wide exhaust pipes?
Have you noticed that the local ear doctors are very silent about excessive noise in our society? I wonder why.
Since the sheriff's department, local police, and state troopers don't really give a darn about our rights, it seems when it comes to our health and safety (ears), then maybe it is about time our federal government got off their behinds to protect my constitutional rights of peace and tranquility guaranteed by lately called by some "our kingdom."
