Don't make Amendment 2 an emotional issue.
As I have been educating myself on the Amendment 2 medical marijuana issue, I have found that the CBD (Cannabidiol) part of the plant has most of the medical benefits espoused by proponents of this amendment.
I also learned that the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) part of the plant is the psychoactive compound that gives the "high."
Most medical marijuana is grown with more CBD and less THC. If this is the case, then I can see if we pass this amendment in Florida in the near future, the marijuana users will want all marijuana legalized so they can get the missing "high."
I say let the U.S. government continue to study CBD and THC's effects on the human body, both benefits and side effects, and let marijuana be approved by the FDA as any other drug.
Adding Amendment 2 to the Florida Constitution on the emotions of the public is not setting a good precedent. Vote "NO" on Amendment 2 in November.
