What is wrong with people who choose to let their dogs and cats run the streets? Don't they even care what might and usually does happen to them?
There was a little black and white fluffy dog laying in the middle of the right-hand lane at Ninth Street West in front of the Florida Central Credit Union on the morning of Jan. 27. It was not a pretty sight.
I am telling people now: I brake for furry, four-legged animals who don't know any better. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this to happen.
This includes those who have no compassion for these animals and run over them and go on with your lives like no care in the world. It seems it's all about yourselves.
Do you realize it could be your child or a child of a friend, neighbor, or relative or would you run over them as well?
Just by slowing down and detaching your cell phones while you are driving, you might see them come darting out in front of you without an accident occurring. Try it some time and if you have the opportunity stop and retrieve the scared animal and take them to Bishop Animal Shelter or somewhere they will be adopted by those who truly do care.
