Despite tradition, throwing dead animals is not a sport

I noted the celebration of the mullet toss with such disgust that I had only one question: What kind of people think throwing dead animals is sport?

I was surprised at the response of those who defended the “tradition.”

Chris Colvin of North Port (Letters, “Annual mullet toss not something to boast about,” Nov. 18) restores my faith in those who think beyond self-gratification in the moment.
