On Nov. 4, we went to one of ArtCenter Manatee’s openings. This was for two shows, an all-media open exhibit in the Kellogg & Reid Hodges Galleries and a women’s contemporary exhibit in the Searle Gallery. They served wine and soft drinks and wonderful free hor d’oeuvres. The artwork was mixed and very, very interesting.
We believe that everyone should enjoy this experience at least once.
Bradenton is a vibrant arts area with skillful paintings, ceramics and jewelry. The center has classes continually. The people there are talented, helpful and outgoing and always do their best to assist you.
Each shows stays up for about a month. They will have openings in December, January and March through July. The March show has a student exhibit. Memberships are encouraged for anyone.
Saturday night, they are having dinner with music, which should be enjoyable.
The art center will play a central role in the revitalization of downtown. We strongly recommend that you come and join the festivities. There’s lots of parking. You will not regret it.
