A letter writer commented about how unbiased her news station is. You have got to be kidding! It acts like the extreme wing of the Republican Party in its commentary. But everyone is entitled to their opinion; that is what makes America great.
All news organizations are biased in one way or another, either to the left or right but they try to report both sides of the issue — unlike the writer’s favorite news station.
As for that so-called poll of 100 Occupy Wall Streeters by New York magazine, even they admit it’s an unscientific poll. Any poll can be manipulated to get a desired effect, and if you were to take a poll of different political or protests groups, including the tea party, you will find there are fruit loops in every organization who will give strange answers to questions. Just check the Republican debates for presidential contenders. These so-called polls should not be used to tarnish any group as a whole.
As for Occupy Wall Street being unpatriotic because they don’t run around waving little flags like some staged political events do is ridiculous. They have many veterans who are protesting the corruption of Wall Street and our politicians. These 99 percenters come from all walks of life.
Before you glorify corporate America, remember how some of them greedily imported items from China that killed our pets with their pet food, tried to sicken our kids with lead-based painted toys and contaminated jewelry, then gave us the tainted drywall which sickened our people and left many homes unlivable — all in name of profits.
Yes, there are many responsible corporations who try to balance profits with compassion for their workers, but there are just as many where the bottom line is the driving force.
