In her Oct. 13 letter, Carol Gazell says my previous letter “passionately defended” corporations. Passion must be in the eye of the beholder. Who knew facts could be passionate? It’s good to remind people of the obvious they avoid or ignore.
If you watch only the dying media you won’t see anti-corporate signs. They side with the “occupiers” so it wouldn’t show anything that makes them look bad. Media used to report what happened. Now for the dying it’s selective, to manipulate public opinion, using “news” as propaganda. Which is why Fox News ratings beat them badly.
People, of course, are free to choose biased media if they want to. They do risk being under-informed.
One sign: “Destroy corporate capitalism.”
New York Magazine interviewed 100. Only 39 voted in 2010 and 55 did not! There is drug trafficking, smell of burning grass, sanitation problems, public sex. They are mostly white ... hmmm, are they racists? Thirty-four percent equate America with al-Qaida. And what do they personally plan to contribute to society?
If enough people stopped buying corporate products, corporations would collapse (and all those jobs would be lost). There’s daily a vote for and against corporations. Love to hate ’em, love their products.
