I have been in Florida for a little over a year, having come from up north to live and find work. I am totally amazed at how the drivers navigate the roads. It’s a horrendous daily chore to make it to and from work without getting involved in an accident. Drivers travel at speeds way over the limits, have little regard for their fellow drivers, show no common road courtesy, tailgate you, and give you the finger if you’re driving too slow for them.
They run yellow and red lights, change lanes without signalling and cut you off. Anything goes, it seems, as there are few law enforcement available to try and control the reckless driving habits of residents and visitors alike.
I just hope that I make it to my golden years without losing my life on one of your highways.
And you wonder why your insurance rates are so high!?
The roads and the drivers on them can be compared to the Indianapolis Speedway! It’s all out of control!
