Who are the protesters on Wall Street and elsewhere?
Based on personal interviews I saw and the placards they carry, this group represents socialists, communists, anarchists, partiers and spoiled brats. Nearly all of whom are the recipients of a good solid “liberal education.”
A great deal of “money,” “organization,” “promotion” and “manipulation” lies behind these demonstrations. Organizations such as unions, the Tides Foundation, Moveon.org and people like George Soros are alleged as being involved. Clearly, they are the true puppeteers.
Interviews show that there are practically as many reasons they demonstrate as there are demonstrators. Not to worry, though, the puppeteers will get all that straightened out.
Isn’t it nice that all these college students with all their electronic gear together with mom and dad’s stipend and available home shelter have turned out to bring down capitalism?
What is amusing is these people haven’t the slightest clue of what will replace capitalism or its effect on their lives. They are truly deep thinkers, don’t you agree?
I believe that millions of people are disgusted with the obscene pay and bonuses that some executives receive, even in a bad year.
However, unlike the duped demonstrators on Wall Street, sane people want to change the laws and give investors a say in what reasonable executive compensation should be. Only idiots want to bring the system down or pass so many restrictions that America is no longer competitive.
We should never begrudge those like Bill Gates or, sadly, the late Steve Jobs, who have created so much wealth, not only for themselves but also for many thousands of those associated with their companies.
We should never forget that many gifted people earn huge profits for their companies and deserve to be compensated for “performance.”
