Sunday’s Herald’s full page story covered the goings on at the state level in detail.
The portion that struck me like a ice ball was that Gov. Rick Scott opposes the arming school teachers, and the program is opposed by most of the 28-member Florida Conference of Black State Legislators “who fear that black students could become disproportionately discriminated against by school officials carrying firearms.”
If this is the thought level of most of a 28-member group of elected state officials, then the resolve of any school issue will never be made.
Reverse the race in making this claim and imagine the outcry.
